So today I decided I wanted to play around in the console...not any easier than the other parts of the boat, but I enjoy it...sick bastard that I am. Had an idea the other day, Bill and I discussed it when he dropped by Sunday, install the batt switch and the main breaker inside the glove box...easy...

Dave, I like your quip about King starboard. At Proline, we had an entire room off the main stockroom, probably 30' X 75' that had nothing but parts made from starboard from Teak Isle. I would bet when PL was really busy, they did $2-3M worth of business per year with Teak Isle, and we all know Teak...

Bill...when I'm done with installing the starboard panel (in other words, I'm sure I won't have to remove it), I'll run a bead of bright white silicone all the way around it. Now, most will say, "Yeah, but the silicone won't stick to starboard..." Yes, it will, providing the panel doesn't ...

it is an easy trailer to load and unload the boat on. The Doc's 25 Mako sat on her for a good couple years, out back by my shop. In the middle of getting your trailer out from under the Mako... http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh301/seabob4/Mako%20on%20Blocks/faab07ed-7d3b-40fb-b5dc-e052c0f1a4d9_...

Wow! That looks fantastic Bob! :bravo: Are you going to secure the panel using 10 screws the way the factory panel was? (I just love to stirthepot.gif ) No Bill...20. Gotta make the next guy who takes it off earn his money! Actually (6) screws are all thats needed. The helm and the binnacle take ca...

Got Bill's new helm "cover" panel made today, and while it may not look like much, it takes quite a bit of time and effort to get everything in the right place, to get all your holes cut properly, get the right spacing, make sure you don't phuck up an edge when putting a 1/4 round on it......

Wow! That is high! Did they say there some major parts that were damaged or something like that to warrant such a high price? Bruce, Bill just told her about the issue with shaft play, said he wanted the helm re-built. The helm was still at my house, he picked it up yesterday. I checked full seal k...

The problem with Bill's helm pump is excessively shaft play...but it doesn't feel like air entrapment of even a check valve issue. Almost like, if there were such pieces in there, a tooth would be missing on a ring gear, so it's just a dead spot (both directions) until the next "tooth" is ...

Sorry fellas, I recommended that same outfit to Bill, he called...and the owner has passed away. His wife is now running the joint, she quoted Bill $325 (right Bill?) to re-build the helm...which I thought was FAR too steep, considering what it all entails. That's why he's searching around...

Had and excellent visit with Bill and his oldest boy Caden today, went over what's been done so far, I had an idea on mounting the batt switch and main breaker inside the glove box, he agreed...think it will work out kinda cool...and handy. Received both of his Blue Seas 6-switch panels Friday, wire...

Just asking because when stuff is too close to the edge the latch won't, well, latch. :504_shrugging: Taken in to account...

So anyway, if I have the parts (which I did), I like to get the t-top completely re-wired, everything installed, and all buttoned up...so I don't have to go back to it. This top, some of the wiring runs were kinda effed up, so it was a bit of a bitch to get the spreader light and anchor light wiring...
