Bill, I was fortunate to work with, and learn from, some awesome people over the years. You always know, some people tell you something, you let it go in one ear and out the other. But certain people tell you something...you listen, pay attention, and learn. Life is kinda like that, y'know? :605_thu...

I know it's a long shot, but is there any chance the cables could've been misadjusted and causing my max RPM problem? :504_shrugging: Possible, Bill. Once I reinstall the binnacle, we'll see where the linkage rests at WOT. There is a factory pre-set stop at both idle and WOT...so we'll see where we...

For any of you guys replacing worn cables or even a worn binnacle on a Yam, Zuke, or Honda equipped boat, this is what I recommend, what was taught to me many moons ago by my old buddy Tony Fernandez. Reason this came up is because I have Bill's (kimber) 205, when I de-rigged the binnacle to remove ...

So a few things done today. 1st, running the new battery cables (2GA) into the motor and terminating. It's "doable" without de-rigging the motor, but a PITA to snake the cables through the S-bends of the rigging hose. I find it simpler (and almost quicker) to just de-rig the motor. The cab...

So what I'm thinking for the vertical flat (electronics flat), pending Bill's approval. It'll be a tight fit between the Lowrance cover and the stereo enclosure, just have to make sure my locations are right, and take my time with the cuts... http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh301/seabob4/Bills205...

Wow the leaning post pads were not beded at all? I hope the deck us ok! What could've happened due to the lack of bedding? Bill, I noticed no flex in the cockpit sole from water intrusion around the screw holes...they were bedded. I'll stick a pick in the holes tomorrow, see what kind of condition ...

Loved that panel, Aaron!! Y'know, poking around older boats is always fun. I've got to de-rig the binnacle and helm pump as we're going to replace the original AS panel with starboard and re-rig everything differently, but first, I need to at least get this leaning post foot rest out of the way. As ...

Sorry to change things after you've started but it's your fault for mentioning that you like rocker switches better than toggles. stirthepot.gif I take full responsibility!! Bill and I talked, gonna have to do a little bit of reconfiguring, get rid of the original panel and replace with starboard.....

I just realized I'm derailing this tread, would the admins rather move the decal question to another? Well, Bill, I'm an admin, and to be honest with you...I don't give a shit! We'll all figure it out, derailments are VERY common here! But if you want, feel free to start a new thread about decals. ...
