Typed the reply but when tried to post...the post went poof. So what the heck, here's the reply :605_thumbs_up: The old standby for local KM live bait fishing is 20 pound test mono. But we run topwater reels spooled with 15 or 17 and the downrigger rods with 20. The lighter line in theory offers les...

Think it's time we go outside the box and find Walt a nice truck. They are pretty reasonable around here. Walt, which brand, half ton, three quarter ton, 4wd, power, extended cab, crew cab, extended bed, leather, years, miles, budget etc. Have customers who own dealerships, and others in auto/ truck...

First off, as stated, I disagree with Pascoe on upper stability/ movement/chocks. Particularly in a heavy seaway as is the norm here, Cape Fear, Atlantic Ocean. You want the tank secured/ chocked down on the top. As per photo. Second....don't know how long you'll keep this boat. But if you'll follow...

Walt is used to Chevy's, me too. Have 230K on the '03 Tahoe...gonna run her 'till she dies.

Has to be a nice one out there to spec with 65K miles for a reasonable price.

Jason, Go to the Pascoe site and re-read the tank install article in detail. Pay particular attention to upper chocks, tie-downs, etc....he maintains they are not needed. 5200 to the base and fuel weight keeps it in place. I personally don't agree. But why waste money on costly and unnecessary weldi...

Exactly as Bruce says. Only thing we differ on is the straps. I've seen plenty of tank corrosion beneath straps. They are stainless, tank is aluminum. Dissimilar metals, and eventually galvanic corrosion/crosstalk occurs....even with rubber as a buffer. We used FRP hollow rectangular tube above the ...

Without question, Nando knows his stuff when it comes to P models. He is a collector and aficionado: buy, sell or trade. He has several pristine, high-end drivers in his stable. I was fortunate to see one....a gorgeous red number around thirty years old I'm guessing, absolutely flawless. Thing looke...

Like you say, seems to be a valid point....then you get to doing the math and any way you slice it, its a fourteen year old boat sFun_eyescan

He needs to get more realistic....he may be scaring 'em off at that price.

We all do, and she's a looker. My understanding is the 911 and derivatives prior to the latest gen body change are appreciating rapidly with high demand. Darn good investment.

Nice find Bruce. The price is high. But she is very clean. Start with the price of brand new, rigged Suzuki twins and go from there. After the tire kickers have gone back to their caves....45K CASH ( or less) should take it in the end. He's selling new twins, trailer, and 6-8K for the fiberglass and...

Scott, I'm with Bruce. It is an easy install, main freak as he says is taking the hole saw to the hull. Not a big deal, more of a measure twice cut once thing. You'll be running a bronze 3/4 inch clamshell pickup, thruhull, seacock, then pump...you want all of this as low as possible in the bilge so...

I'd stay in the Commodore's lovely town, Port Charlotte.

Close to the action without the expense.
