That is a Johnson V6 which tend to leak fuel out of the carb bowls. Believe it or not this is normal. Usually lots of gooey oil if they have been sitting and the fuel as evaporated. If you buy the boat unless the seller has documented service history, be sure to service everything on the motor so y...

closed circuit cooling all new stuff to outboards I didn't see the weight 772 is heavy. I belive the Seven Marine outboards are closed circuit cooling as well. I really like the belt drive idea, solves all kinds of issues. I'm surprised Seven Marine didn't do that. Much simpler than their twin pini...

I would say that is a 96 model 200 Osprey (19'6"). You can tell the year by looking at the HIN (Hull Identification Number) located on the starboard side of the transom just above the lifting eye. The last two digits of the HIN are the year of the hull. The engine should have a date of MFG on t...

ground is ground but I'd make sure it is a good clean ground connection. In fact your voltage issues could be from a poor ground. I'd run a dedicated negative for the stereo.

Have you seen the OXE Diesel outboard? I just found out about it yesterday. Same deal intended for the military single fuel mandate. I really like the idea of the belt drive for the lower unit. Also the water pump etc are all accessible from the powerhead without dropping the lower unit. http://www....

Yeah I see beautiful trucks that are beat to absolute hell and I wonder WTF people are thinking. Luckily rust is not much of an issue down here. I rinse the underside of my truck with salt away after every trip to the boat ramp. I plan on spending a $1,500 -$2000 or so in touch up paint and cosmetic...

I think that is a good idea. Then the owner can just flip on that accessory switch and the radio will turn on.

About the yellow keep alive circuit. Overtime that will run down the boats battery unless he switches off the battery switch.

Don't bond the PVC strips to the bottom of the coffin. The Pascoe method is written based on larger boats without a tank coffin. Only bond them to the bottom of the tank. The reason is two fold, one to keep them located in place, two the keep water from being trapped between the strips and the surfa...

Sounds like it is time your hydraulic helm pump is rebuilt. The fluid should be filled to the top of the cap. Also make sure your cap is the newer style with the tiny little vent in it. I think you can get a seal kit for it. You might be better off just contacting http://www.boatsteeringrebuilders.c...

The only issue I had with my Ocean Pro was a power pack. They are reliable motors that will get you home if you treat em right. Parts are readily availible and are resonably priced. Of course they are thirsty.

A Etec will be a direct bolt on to your existing rigging and will save you 30%+ fuel burn.

I think they are using unobtainium in them Corey.

I went on the Ford website today and built a truck to the same specs and options as my current F250. Total price? $58,000! sSc_eek
