I had a combo of beef, pork, Roo and Ostrich for dinner while in Christchurch
The meat is served to you raw on a stone that has been heated for 24 hours at 400 degrees. You cook.

They did caution you not to touch the stone

The grog was a pint of Lion Red, NZ brewed. GOOOOD stuff, :1992_beer_cheer:
Bob....The cut of Roo was a loin I believe. Very lean, great flavor but a little on the chewy side if you know what I mean . Probably a better way of cooking it to tender it up then on a rock.
The Ostrich was good also.....the meat had more of a texture of beef.

We have had some great meals here and in Australia.....especially the seafood. And the prices are very reasonable especially with the exchange rate.
We been eating mostly in the pubs. Prices are lot cheaper then the restaurants
