Thanks Kevin that is a man after my own hart. I love those old tools. He goes a lot farther then I would in making models. And his man cave shop is great. I'm still in the middle of building my shop, but this hot weather has brought my old butt to a halt. But this week I'm going over to the lumber yard to pick up my wood for my rafters. 20 2x8's 18' long. Had a hell've of a time finding 18'ers. everybody had 20s I'm trying to keep my waste to a minimum. My shop will be 16x36 when done. I have the sides up, so the roof is next. Putting those 2x8s up 10' in the air ain't going to be fun by myself, but I'll get it done, it will just take a little longer. :605_thumbs_up:

Be careful lifting that stuff, and don't press it, it will get done when it gets done.

With the 20's you'd have 2ft overhang to keep it dry..... But I get the waste part.

Yea Scott tell me about that. I tried to get a few small things done when it was 95-100. I stopped after only a 1/2 hour. Came back in and had to change my wet butt, my cloths were wet from head to toe.

Kevin took the old fascia and sofit down and I'm going to reuse it. And it all ready is cut for a 1' over hang. So I'll have 1' of waste. I can burn that in the wood stove I'm going to use to heat the shop. All ready figured out how to pull outside air to burn. Then I won't have to worry about a flash fire from the saw dust that the dust collection system doesn't pick up. Plus I'm building an air handler with a squirrel cage fan I picked up. Building it with three filters. Then blowing the filtered air right back into the shop. Won't be wasting heat or air conditioned air, blowing it out side. My biggest problem is getting rid of the treaded wood waste. can't take it to the dump or burn it here. So I'm just stacking it in the woods on a palette. I'll find some use for it later. :605_thumbs_up:

Thats a great idea. I am going to use an old AC blower fan for moving air in my shop when the time comes.
