Ok I think I found a truck ,in fact three. But I'm really interested in, this one that is really good looking and just what I want. But here is the bell ringer. It's a 2003 Toyota tundra, with 57,000 miles. Mileage sounds good right. Well then why do all these bells and wistles going off in my head. Here are the facts that's causing it. Truck, 14 years old, which equals a little over 4,000 a year, which is about 15.5 miles a day excluding week end. Add them in an the miles per day goes down more. Then given the fact, it had 2 owners in that 14 years. Why did 2 people get rid of a Toyota truck with so low mileage? To me letting any truck sit to long and it's as bad as over use. Now am I over thinking this sCo_hmmthink , or is my old brain trying to tell me something? all yea it's over priced by 3,000, which is normal for that dealer. sAng_scream Toyota dealers all think their stuff is made of gold. this driving me :2261_high: :1898_: .

Have no idea of that trucks history, but there could be a very good reason for the low miles.
In my case I have a 96 cherokee that just turned 70k ..............how can this be when others are clocking 200.000 miles
Well I was lucky in that I had a company car and mine saw only weekend use
If you can get a service history and record of state insp history it my be ligit

I'm in the same boat as Plugger, I have a company take home vehicle, so my 2007 Toyota Tacoma sits in the drive way at least 5 days a week. 2007 with 71,000 miles now since a bought a Delaware house and been driving there on weekends for the last 9 months. But I would be causes since it had 2 owner. I have heard Tundra's get very bad gas mileage. Try to do a car fax check on it.Good luck with your purchase.

Up in your neck of the woods i would believe that. 3 years ago my dad sold his 88 suburban with 90k on it. the trucks sole job was to pull the boat back and forth to the ramp. He bought it brand new. you do the math 5-10 mile run to the ramp doesnt put many miles on a truck.

Your right Corey , things are a lot closer together in this area. hell I can go to three states in a hour. When I worked , Dam does that seem like a long time a go. I lived 10 miles from the main office and I worked at one plant for a number of years, that was 5 miles from home. The thing is most lots have trucks with 100,000 or more on them. I guess I got use to seeing that.

The '04 was a good year, they had the '01-'02 tranny issues resolved by then. Have the same engine in a '03 Tahoe, 190,000 miles and doesn't use a drop of oil.

The Z-71 package makes a great tow vehicle.

Asking price would be high for here, but a different market.

Keep us posted :605_thumbs_up:
