I am not sure who all knows, but Scott suffered a heart attack last Friday. I spoke with him earlier and he resting and hopefully on his way to a full recovery. Let's keep Scott in our thoughts and prayers. As I told you earlier Scott, if you need anything I am only 2 hours away. Take care and get some rest!

Those Meds are an important part of his recovery. Let them kick his butt. With the blood thinners he needs to rest and not do anything but rest. Give that ticker a chance to heal. AND DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING SHARP. Hell I need you around here to keep my old butt straight. :605_thumbs_up:

Thank you ALL so VERY much for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes. It means a great deal to me.

A brief synopsis of what happened:

Friday morning two weeks ago at 6:45 am wake up out of a dead sleep, back pain between my shoulder blades. Thought I had slept wrong so got up to stretch. Felt weird. Went to the bathroom. Stood up and everything started going black. Got back in bed and started sweating like a mule. Carolyn says I'm pasty gray. Call 911, they are there in 4 minutes, load me up. Hook up the EKG I'm having a heart attack, right side artery. Thank the Good Lord it's not the left side, they call that the widow maker. Cardiac arrest, bam, your gone.

Get to the hospital in 25 minutes, two minutes later I'm on the table in the cath lab. Two stints installed in that artery. Two blockages, one at 70% the other at 99%. Wheel me into the ICU, nurse tells me what happened. Said odds are it won't happen, but if have the same feelings as earlier please let us know immediately. She says about two or three more sentences and BOOM....here it comes again. Faster and more intense. Another heart attack. Wheel me straight back in there, catheter to the stints is still in so that's good. Fix me up and back to ICU.

Two days later they release me. Go home, feel pretty darn good considering everything.

Monday morning I wake up, nauseated and diarrhea. Call cardiologist, they think med interaction may be the cause. But they want a stool sample. Take them the sample. Five days later get the results. C Diff gastrointestinal bacterial infection. Caught it in the hospital. BAD stuff. Undetected and untreated, will kill you. Put me on the max dose of the roughest antibiotic out there. For eleven days now I've felt like I've had the absolute worst hangover in my life. This stuff is an absolute ass kicker. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Thank goodness finally feeling a bit better today. Have my fingers crossed the meds are kicking in and killing this mess.

So that's the story. Thanks again so very much for pulling for me, and for your friendship. I have a LOT to be thankful for, I am blessed be alive.

Take time to smell the roses my friends. You don't know what tomorrow will hold.

Thanks and Best,

Scott
