I'm glad to be accepted into your community and excited to be a part of the discussions here. I have been around classic aquasports most of my life (not TOO long though, I just turned 30) and have a fair amount of experience doing fiberglass work and restorations. I have years of experience rigging and fitting, and also as an outboard and inboard tech. All my knowledge was gained in the field, no certifications, but I was lucky to learn from some great teachers. I currently serve as chief engineer for Noel Jordan, former president of SkipperLiner Industries. My daily routine is focused around the upkeep of the Naples Princess, a 105' passenger ship based out of Port of Naples Marina, but my work has carried me all over surveying and consulting for the ships and operators Noel leases out.

My father used to have a classic 19-6 when I was growing up, that one was lost to damage from a hurricane, we also restored a newer osprey style19-6. It was a complete strip and re-fit with new gel coat and kiwi grip non-skid, wiring, instruments and hardware. We installed a 10" setback hydraulic fast lift jack plate with a remanned 140 evinrude looper. That boat was a real performer, with a 22p Raker prop it consistently ran just under 50mph and it would do it across a flat just about as shallow as anyone I know could muster the courage to cross! We loved it but it was stressful to operate a boat so nice that required so much labor to build and it was a boat we put together with the intention of selling so we did just that.

My father still lives in the keys and now has another classic 19-6 and a 150 eagle series evinrude for it and an old 22-2 flatback with a several motors on a stand to choose from but hasn't put either together yet, he's running a 26' or 27' shamrock he seems content with for now.

As for me, the reason I decided to join the site, besides my appreciation for the manufacturer in general, is my recent purchase of an old 240 sea hunter! It's been sitting a long time and I didn't get much of a look at it yet but hopefully good things will come of it! Glad to be here with you guys!
