Hey to all,

My name is Brent Lipham (heyhammie) and I live in Lakeland Florida. My wife and I have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. I retired from Peoples Gas System and work part time in maintenance at our church. Our boat is a 1977 Aquasport 222 Inboard (picture attached) l have to admit I joined the club for a selfish reason. I have to sell the boat and need some input from the membership. If you have a minute, please take a look at my craigslist ad under boats by owner in SARASOTA Florida. I listed it 3 weeks ago and have had no bites. (Hurricane season is probably not the best time to list).. The questions I am asking myself are have I shot way too high on the price? Does the inboard make this totally undesirable in Florida?, etc. I welcome all opinions and advice.

Heyhammie

Welcome aboard. Sweet ride you have there. Don't see many of the inboard models.

Welcome aboard Brent!

Just reviewed your Craigs ad, I don't think 21K is too high.....heck, the new 22-2 or 240 Seahunter professional rebuilds in the Tampa area are going from 65-90K.

May want to try posting it to the Tampa Craigs....22-2's are very popular there.

Best wishes :605_thumbs_up:

Thanks for the comments and suggestion. I really hate to sell the boat, it makes me smile everytime I look at it. It's simply too much for my wife and I to handle on the road and at the boat ramp. If we were 10 years younger, different story. Thanks again.

That is one beautiful boat right there. The issue with the west coast is the use of an inboard keel driven boat. Most do inshore flats, mangrove fishing. With the drive system you have on that hull, you cut that ability out of your fishing. Nothing personal, just fishing styles most people do on this side. I would list it more on the east coast where they do most off shore/near shore fishing. Those boat types are very popular.

I'd post it on the east coast of FL Craigslist where they have plenty of deep water. When I sold my last aquasport it was to a guy on the east coast.

I'll trade you a 1975-19-6 for it? My boat is in excellent shape. 1 year old ETEC 115hp with 6 year fully transferable warranty.
