So got exactly what I wanted to get done inside the console today. Only thing left is the fuel sending lead and the NMEA 0183 hookup between the Lowrance and the ICOM (actually in the glovebox). Bill was hoping for the 12V outlet on the side of the glovebox, but not enough room. So on the back wall it went...

Image

Now when he looks in his console from the backside, this is all he will see...

Image

Switch panels all wired up, the bus bar got full, as well as the fuse block...

Image

And as I told him, the third in-line for the stereo memory, joining the (2) float switch fuses (all wired constant hot)...

Image

Tonight? Lighting pics...

Bruce, with the exception of the work lights in the starboard bilge and under the console (which are el cheapo Worst Marine stuff - 20 bucks a pop and probably cheaper online) all of the lights are made by Lumitec.

The live well light is the "Newt" http://lumiteclighting.com/product/newt ... ent-light/
The console side courtesy lights are the "Andros" http://lumiteclighting.com/product/andr ... ent-light/
The rear spreader light is the "CapreraLT" http://lumiteclighting.com/product/capr ... ood-light/
The under gunnel lights are the "Rail2" http://lumiteclighting.com/product/rail2-utility-light/
The dome light is the "Aurora" http://lumiteclighting.com/product/aurora/

Like an idiot, I bought it all at Worst without knowing they would price match. :1898_:
Ah well, live and learn I guess.

Bruce, the under gunnel lights are only like 15" long, and have screw mounting holes. I was a bit skeptical regarding their length...but they do a grat job!

Lottery ticket day!! GPS Lat/Lon from the Lowrance to the ICOM on the 1st try!! sFun_crazydance

Image

Now Bill has his DSC function, which was never hooked up. Why do people buy this stuff and not utilize all the functions the equipment is capable of? Especially safety functions? Dumbasses...

Once again, yet another reason why I'm so happy I brought you the boat Bob.
How many other guys out there never would've mentioned that or even noticed it wasn't hooked up?

Another good thing today Bill...the alarm horn works fine...at least when there is a low oil situation in the tank on the powerhead. Wanted to see if she'd crank...keyed on...and there was a constant alarm. Knew I had removed a good bit of oil from the small tank on the motor (level was below the "minimum" arrows), filled it back up, alarm went away. But no "self check" alarm when I key her on...look into that a bit more. Anyway, electrical is all done, just plumbing the back end. Even though the subs aren't hooked up, absolutely no movement of the compass with the stereo pretty loud. We'll see if the subs affect them...
