I've been using non ethanol fuel in my craft. It's expensive. Keep using it, or find a way to use regular fuel and save a buck a gallon?

i run efree mostly, but i have replaced all my fuel lines to ethanol resistant just in case. the closest place for me to get efree is a little ways away and they only have 87octane. my motor doesnt really like 87 so i put octane booster in it. if i know im going to burn thru a whole tank in a week ill run 91 ethanol 10% gas.

Jesus. I just called a couple places, got boat fixed and wanted to take it out. Ethanol free is freaking $4.50 a gallon now. That's $1.25 more a gallon than regular. WTF.

I'm very fortunate to have a bait shop less than a mile from me that sells 89 octane with no corn for only 30¢ more per gallon. Only gripe I have is they only have two pumps total and it can get real backed up. I just try to fuel up the night before if I can.

Carl some of these stations have found they can get a premium price for this stuff, which is up to them, but shop around, I payed 4.23 for some yesterday.

Non ethanol here in both my boats, jeeps, motorcycle and the lawn mower. Yes if you look at it compared to regular it is more but if you look at it compared to premium its like $.30-$.60 more per gallon. The biggest thing for me is the unplanned times the boat ends up sitting. If I was running ethanol and I planned on the boat sitting for some time I would drain t or fill the tanks with treated fuel. But it is those unplanned times the boat ends up sitting that will get you... you know weather is bad... life gets in the way.... next thing you know it has been three months and you have a tank of phase separated crap in your tank. Also the cost of filling the tank is prohibitive. Yeah I could do that with the 170 since it only holds 27 gallons. But filling the 245 with 141 gallons and take the risk of it spoiling? Heck no!

Great point on the lawn mower and other stuff, my mower has never seen eth and never will, I inherited a bunch of yard equipment that was run on eth, some I was able to salvage, others the carbs are shot the fuel lines ate up you name it.

There isn't any real stuff available nearby so I double dose with stabil marine and use the mid grade unleaded.
