So i decided to take a step back and try to figure out where i want all my stuff on the console.. Came up with these that i like the most but cant decide on just one.. this is narrowed down from about 50 ways i tried it.. each has its benefit and each has a down side.. ive determined the location of the helm and the binnical so those are not going to move

A few things to consider;

1) I Prefer the helm off center to the port side, that way two people can be behind the console and windshield.
2) I prefer to have my ignition switch on a vertical surface, keeps the water out. I also always leave the key in the ignition to help keep water out.

Fern, for some reason, the 200 series consoles had the wheel centered. Why? No clue, I'm with you big time in locating the wheel to port. Here's Wes' helm...

Never really thought about it when I worked there, but then, it wasn't my line...

I know they came that way from the shop, but it can always be improved.

yea the ignition switch will go back on the right side on the front.. ive thought of the 2 people thing but im really limited on how much further i can go to the right, basically none unless i do a side mount binnicale and i just bought this one so thats not happening

thanks guys, this is why i asked. i figured the wheel in the center was there for a purpose but i guess not.. looks like moving every thing to the port side, gauges in the middle panel and switches on the starboard, and worry about the other stuff later(when i get it).. just dont want to put in unnecessary holes..
